Sheldon Loughner is a board certified family nurse practitioner. He believes in the importance of treating the person, not the diagnosis. He prides himself in not only providing individualized, patient-centered care, but also educating patients on how they can better themselves in order to reach their health goals. Sheldon’s passion for patient care started six years ago when he became a registered nurse.
After taking care of patients in the hospital setting for several years, Sheldon knew he wanted to pursue his master’s degree to further his education. Sheldon chose the family practice specialty because he feels it is the cornerstone of medicine, health education, and preventative care. He graduated from Chamberlain University School of Nursing in Illinois.
Sheldon resides in Mars, Pa with his wife, Ashley, and three children, Cameron, Ethan, and Mason, not to mention his two fun and loving dogs Brutus and Rylee. He enjoys being active whether that is exercising or chasing his children around the yard. He loves watching and playing all kinds of sports, specifically football. His favorite season is football season, whether it is pro or college football. Sheldon is excited to have joined Wexford Health Partners and is looking forward to providing compassionate care and health education to the patient population in Wexford and the surrounding areas.
